CartPause

H—221

You'll skip 73% of what you almost bought.

CartPause opens by focusing on the user instead of the app. "You'll skip 73% of what you almost bought" sounds researched and precise, and the line underneath reinforces the claim: "That's about $2,400 back in your account this year."

The hero stays focused on one promise the entire way down. The body copy explains the mechanic in a single sentence (share anything you are tempted to buy, wait 72 hours, watch most of the urge disappear), a logo bar under the line "works with every store you love" puts Amazon, Walmart, Target, Nike, Best Buy and Home Depot on the page so the capability question is settled, and the phone on the right floats two callouts that repeat the math back to you. The teal is a good choice as well. Green feels like money, and this particular teal feels calmer and slightly more technical than the usual bright green, which is the right feel for an app you are trusting with your spending.

Plenty of products with a good statistic put the statistic in the headline and stop there. The extra step here is translating it into the reader's own life, and their personal habits. Go beyond the stat and tell your users what it means for them personally.

Why this H1 works:

  • Makes the stat relevant
the teal line converts a percentage into roughly $2,400, which is the version of the claim people feel

  • Describes the outcome, not the tool
you find out what changes in your life before you find out what the app is

  • The logo bar settles capability
Amazon, Target, Nike and Best Buy answer "will this work where I shop" without a sentence of copy

  • Color reinforces the promise
green for money, in a teal that reads calmer and more technical than the obvious choice
